Net Zero Carbon

Global Warming

The average temperature at the Earth’s surface has risen about 1.1C since 1850. Greenhouse gases – which trap the Sun’s heat – are the crucial link between temperature rise and human activities. The most important is carbon dioxide (CO2), because of its abundance in the atmosphere. The impacts that we are experiencing now at around a 1.2°C rise in average temperature are forerunners of rapidly escalating risks as global temperatures rise towards 2°C and beyond. Time is rapidly running out for humanity to avoid the extremely serious risks of a 2°C or warmer world.

Every fraction of a degree of avoided warming matters, and will be measured in lives, species and ecosystems lost or saved. We must do everything possible to deeply and rapidly cut our emissions, while also preparing for climate impacts that can no longer be avoided. Addressing global warming requires global efforts to reduce emissions, transition to renewable energy sources, and implement sustainable practices to mitigate its impact.

Global Decarbonisation Target

The Global Decarbonisation Target aims to significantly reduce carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate climate change. This target is essential for limiting global temperature rise to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, as outlined in the Paris Agreement. Achieving this requires transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, enhancing energy efficiency, and adopting sustainable practices across industries. Governments, businesses, and communities worldwide are implementing policies and strategies to reduce their carbon footprints, such as investing in green technology, reforestation projects, and carbon pricing mechanisms. Global decarbonisation is crucial for ensuring a sustainable and resilient future.

Net Zero Carbon Journey with Molen Technic

Molen Technic have extensive experience in developing Net Zero Carbon roadmaps for global companies and their sites across the world. We follow science and intelligent engineering for our Net Zero Carbon solutions. We have developed Net Zero Carbon strategies for more than 100 industrial sites.

Set Target

Setting a corporate net zero target with all stakeholders marks the beginning of the Net Zero journey.

Access & Plan

Assess your baseline of carbon emissions, carbon mapping to prioritise initiatives, technical survey of HVAC, utilities, and particularly fossil-burning systems such as boilers

Design

Design energy efficiency projects for HVAC and Utilities; concept and developed design for decarbonisation and/or heat energy electrification.

Deliver

Starting delivery with energy efficiency projects is usually the best way to minimise energy baseload because it reduces the CAPEX of heat electrification initiatives.

Monitor

Monitor the progress of delivery projects and evaluate the performance of new Net Zero Carbon solutions.

Continuous Improvement

Maintain and continuously improve the Net Zero process; seek innovative future technologies and opportunities to propel your organisation beyond Net Zero.
